The British Association of Cosmetic Nurses

The BACN is the largest Professional Association for nurses carrying out cosmetic treatments in the UK. It operates under a strict Code of Conduct in order to ensure patient safety across all treatments undertaken by its members.  Only registered professional nurses who have undertaken appropriate training in aesthetics may be members of the BACN.  Registered members of the BACN can be found on the BACN website.

ACE Accredited

ACE enables you to check to see if your practitioner is registered with the Aesthetic Complications Expert Group.  This will mean that they are appropriately trained, registered with their Professional Body and follow the latest evidence-based guidance about how to manage a potential complication should it arise.

Nursing Midwife Council

The NMC is the regulatory body for nurses in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland who maintain a register of nurses and midwives who are allowed to practice in the UK. The NMC ensures that nurses are accountable to deliver high quality healthcare by setting standards of performance, conduct, training and education.  Skills and knowledge must be kept up-to-date and professional standards must be upheld. Members of the NMC can be found on the NMC website.
